Introduction
This privacy policy applies to all Chrome extensions published by OvalStudio. We believe privacy is a fundamental right and have designed our extensions to respect that. By default, our extensions are built to be lightweight, transparent, and privacy-first.
This document describes how we handle user data across our extensions. If a specific extension has a unique privacy policy, it will be linked from its Chrome Web Store listing.
Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information.
Our extensions, by default, do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Names, email addresses, or contact details
- Browsing history or browsing activity
- Login credentials or account information
- Payment information
- Location data
- IP addresses or device identifiers
If a future extension requires the collection of any data to function, that extension will have its own clearly stated policy, and data collection will be limited to what is strictly necessary.
How Information Is Used
Since our extensions do not collect any personal information, there is no information to use. In the event an extension collects limited data (as described in its own policy), that data is used only to provide the extension's core functionality and is never used for advertising, analytics, marketing, or user profiling.
Browser Permissions
Our extensions request Chrome permissions only when necessary for their intended functionality. The presence of a permission does not imply that we collect or transmit the associated data.
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
storage |
Saving user preferences and settings locally |
activeTab |
Interacting with the currently active tab (when explicitly triggered by the user) |
Local Storage
Some of our extensions may store preferences or settings locally using Chrome's storage.local API. This data:
- Resides only on your device
- Is never transmitted to us or any third party
- Is never uploaded to any remote server or cloud service
- Persists until the extension is removed or you clear browser data
- Is automatically deleted when the extension is uninstalled
We do not use remote databases, cloud storage, or external servers to store user information.
Third-Party Services
Our extensions do not use:
- Third-party analytics services
- Tracking or fingerprinting libraries
- Advertising networks or SDKs
- External APIs that receive user data
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user information. Because we collect nothing, there is nothing to share.
Data Security
Since our extensions do not collect or transmit user data, there are no data security risks beyond those inherent in using the Chrome browser. We follow best practices for secure extension development, including using the latest Manifest V3 APIs and minimizing permissions.
Children's Privacy
Our extensions are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy as our extensions evolve. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
